This is awful. I do not understand the hype about these machines. I had to use the strongest setting supposedly only for iced beverages to make coffee that was strong enough and still it tasted terrible compared to good coffee makers and wasted twice as much coffee using the my k-cup. Also because of the fact that the strongest setting makes the smallest amount of coffee it takes 4 changes of coffee to make 1 mug total waste of time! Regular coffee maker is faster with less mess! The premade kcups are useless too weak even for the strongest setting. I do like my coffee pretty strong but not anything crazy. I am used to european coffee such as you would get in Italy and of course cappuccinos, lattes ect. So if that is what you like do not waste your time because this makes COFFEE FLAVORED WATER! This to me is a complete waste of money and if you only use if for water to make tea you are better off with any other method to make hot water this is way to expensive for that.

this is the worst machine for the money I’ve ever bought – it vibrates and splashes coffee all over the counter – contacted the company – their solution – put a mouse pad under it – wow! at 165.00 for a coffee maker at least all the coffee should go in the cup – feel real ripped off – my senseo I had for 65.00 as good as this one and it didn’t splash coffee – don’t waste your money on this one.

I have owned the Keurig B60 for over 2 years and my family has been very pleased with its performance. My only complaint with the B60 has been the noise but it is literally only 15 seconds of low buzzing while the water is heating up. I decided to try this Breville mainly because of the iced beverage function. It looks so nice in my stainless steel kitchen and brews a great cup of coffee! I will list my pros and cons below. Please see the picture section for my photos comparing the Keurig B60 and Breville.

    Pros:

    stainless steel

    4 cup size settings

    easy to fill reservoir

    iced beverage feature

compartment for reusable K cup and measuring scoop

    water filter

    quiet

    Cons:

    larger footprint

    extremely bright white light buttons

    pricey

Although I was initially impressed with this product having owned two similar units manufactured by Keurig, it stopped working after only two weeks. I’ve ordered a replacement, but the failure of the product within two weeks of purchase doesn’t speak well about its quality. The only two aspects of the product that I didn’t like, in addition to its short lifespan, was the electrical plug is strangely designed and sticks out far from the wall, making it difficult to place the unit close to the outlet, and the design of the drip tray interferes with smoothly removing and reinstalling the water reservoir, one has to slide the reservoir sideways when removing or reinstalling it into the unit. Frankly, were I to do it all over again and based upon my past experiences, I would have purchased a unit directly from Keurig, which is comparably less expensive and much more reliable.

UPDATE: Amazon quickly and efficiently replaced the defective unit and so far, after two days, it appears to be working flawlessly. And, other than the inconvenient plug and design of the drip tray, I’m very happy with the way the unit functions and the quality of coffee brewed.

We were given our first single cup coffee brewer perhaps slightly over a year ago, and we decided that was the only coffee maker for us. Confession: nut was not a Breville, and we thought it couldn’t be topped. This is not the first time I’ve been wrong!

The Breville has a sleek stainless steel finish that looks very up-to-the-minute in our kitchen. So, a big plus for appearance. Add another plus for the blue LCD screen, and one more for the digital clock and automatic on/off.

We’ve been using the Breville for only a few weeks, but we’re more than impressed. By the way, we also like the wide variety of K-cups available for use with this system.

To date, we’re giving it a high five!
